Thank you for your interest in joining the Sun City Fire & Medical Department Cadet Program!

• ​​​​​​​Cadets are expected to participate in a minimum of 15 hours per month. This may include ride-alongs, drill weekends, PT, volunteer opportunities, interview prep sessions, or any time 3 or more cadets are gathering to better themselves.
• Cadets must comply with the policies, procedures, and rules of the Sun City Fire and Medical Department.  
• Cadets are encouraged to maintain a healthy and active lifestyle, as physical fitness is critical to the profession

• Must be 18 years or older at the time of application
• Must complete an application and interview process, demonstrating a genuine interest in pursuing a career in the fire service or emergency medical services  (EMS)
• Must pass a background check and drug screening
